BY ROAD: Car, Coach or Minibus

Via the A259: Access only from the West on A259 Littlehampton Road. Turn left up Highdown Rise.

There are limited spaces at the main Highdown Hill car park at the top of Highdown Rise just outside the main entrance to the gardens. There is also an additional overflow turfed car park. If both car parks are full there is a further car park at the bottom of Highdown Rise. Both car parks have 2.1 metre height barriers at entrances. There are three disabled parking bays next to Highdown Gardens entrance.

Coaches and minibus parking

Please note that vehicle access to our car park is limited by a 2.1 metre height barrier and there are limited parking spaces. If you are coming by coach or minibus please contact us at least 10 days in advance to plan your visit accordingly and ensure you can safely park your vehicle. Please note that the Highdown Pub car park cannot be used as an alternative parking option. Thank you for your understanding.

By Bus

Stagecoach bus 9, stop at Northbrook College.

Walk from Northbrook College to Highdown gardens (1 mile, or 20 minutes)

Pulse bus route from Lancing to Durrington, stop at Northbrook Rec and use the Town to Highdown directions to walk to the gardens.

By Train

Stop at Goring-By-Sea train station on the Southern coastal train journey.

Why not take the Stagecoach bus 5 to Durrington community centre or park at Durrington Tesco Extra and walk to Highdown in 30 minutes?

ADVERSE WEATHER:  In the event of adverse weather conditions, for safety reasons we advise you to check updates on our Facebook page or call us before you make travel arrangements to the gardens.

In order to keep the public, staff and volunteers safe from fallen branches or dangerous ground conditions, we reserve the option to close the gardens at short notice.

If you have booked a ticket for an activity or event you will be notified via email of alternative arrangements.
