The Reality
Highdown Gardens is owned by the The Highdown Development Trust, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).
Worthing Borough Council remains committed to the operational running of Highdown Gardens. For over 50 years, it has employed skilled gardeners to help maintain the Sterns’ unique gift to the people of Worthing.
Recent fundings from The National Heritage Lottery Fund has enabled some ambitious renovations of the infrastructure of the gardens and expanded our heritage, engagement and volunteer programs.
In order to carry on the high standard of the gardens the Trust needs further financial support.
Donate
The new Highdown Development Trust (CIO) is currently awaiting approval by the Charity Commission. In the meantime, your charitable donations are held in a dedicated holding account by Worthing Borough Council until all the funds can be transferred to the Highdown Development Trust account.
